THE LITTLE BOOK OF STRANGE TALES is the debut
literary release from Maryland author J.B. Ogg. An avid fan of
horror and thriller authors such as Stephen King and Dean Koontz,
this offering of seven original stories carrying readers through the
range of emotions is sure to make hairs stand up and hearts pump
harder as palms get sweaty while the pages keep turning.
“I had to get these stories out of my head before they moved to
my hands,” the entrepreneur and Tennessee native joked. “I’ve
always been a fan of the macabre genre and how, in ever story,
somebody gets killed. I wrote these stories years ago, and after
recently finding them again and retyping them, editing as I went, I
felt like now was the time to put them out.”

His hope is to inspire other lovers of exciting reads to pen their
own, while also introducing new readers to his own contributions. A
beloved volunteer and mentor to youth, J.B. Ogg is an avid pet
lover and family man. He is also a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, INC.

"I read the whole book in one sitting! I couldn't put it down. The stories were so weird and shocking, yet very entertaining! It's a great book! - C. Floyd

"The book was interesting and kept my attention. J.B. Ogg is crazy and demented!" - D. Allen

"The 1st chapter was intriguing, Revenge was my favorite, The family business was epic! I was sucked in from chapter 1. I started reading and couldn't stop. I'm a fan!" -LT Anderson

Excerpt From Revenge:

A cesarean! The doctors had said that the delivery could be possible if they performed a cesarean section. I don't give a damn if they perform a cesarean or not; I'm not having this damn thing. What kind of freak would it be-the both of us, main attractions at some fucking sideshow?

Book Description:

The novel “Drone World” is set in a futuristic dystopian city like the books of Divergent or Maze Runner. The book’s content is similar to the movies ‘Minority Report’ (predicting crime) meets ‘Logan’s Run’ (authority determines when you die).

This book is topical – it looks at a city where drone technology is common place. Today drones are part of our lives from the military to enforcement to entertainment. Not just outside our windows – everywhere we live, eat, shop and the many forms they take.

Imagine a city with cameras on every corner, monitoring your every move. A world where no crime goes unpunished, no criminal can escape. No place you can hide.

I live in the safest city in the world . . . until I tried to leave it.

Book Description:

Junkyard Lucy is a collection of stories by underground writer Tony Nesca. Stylistically alternating between Nesca's unique free-flow style, full of that incredible, rhythmic prose that only he can do, and street-tough, short declarative sentences, the writing shows incredible range. The themes are varied and widespread - from love, sex, music, death, old age, rebellious youth and everything in-between, Junkyard Lucy is a subversive celebration of being alive, a romantic, sexually charged discourse on life, alive, unfettered and free.

Excerpt One:

And I’m walking through the devil infested streets, and all I see are lights greasy and wanting, and all I see is violence and blood-red intentions, and all I see are the generals feasting on flesh, and there was an old friend of mine standing at a street corner with back against telephone pole just watching the cars go by and the lights from the liquor store red and blue and purple and orange and yellow and it’s metal-to-metal striking that note just right and the midnight crazies looking to fuck someone up, but we stop and talk and we’re not afraid and we’re not unhappy and we’re even bored kinda feeling the end of something,
“I’m just bored with all of this” I say,
He nods and smiles sadly and I wave goodbye and I see all the street-junkies hobbling along with their toothless grins and their one-note thinking, and I see the young girls with sad smiles holding on to nothing at all the predators never far, and I think of losing her suddenly and that tragic afternoon under the sun, sometimes a nice car pulls up to the liquor store and the well-groomed move forward their intentions and true meaning as rotten as everybody else’s and the bank accounts ring like a bell as their fucked-up night-world is about to begin, I think of the 1920’s and Dixieland jazz and Billy Holiday and sipping on cold gin at a Parisian café while Picasso strolls by screaming something wild and crazy, and the young victims died in back alleys then as they do now and as long as people are involved, the shit flows, and I need all your love, baby, all of it day and night…
But I see something else now, I see a movie theater with light bulbs shining on the edge of the billboard full of smiling ideas, and I see a late-night pizza joint with small line-up of guys and gals laughing into the darkness, and I see a middle-aged couple kissing in front of a closed record store and I think of good friends and screaming good times and I’m talking about the light-filled moments everywhere all around –
- and it’s day-time now and I am by a river beams of golden light coming through trees and green all around wooded path leading me into that cool-sunshine shiver and I don’t hesitate, I don’t hesitate to smile and to laugh and to feel alright, and the river ripples in the wind bright-diamond-flickers on its surface, opposite bank showing a few apartment buildings sprouting out from the ever-present green of the ever-present trees, a young woman jogs by thighs jiggling in the hot morning shadow, old man walks slowly leaning on cane smiling lovely and new his youth bubbling just under the surface, and we all wanna get along don’t we, between closed teeth she swears again, between lips parted he smokes and says goodbye, and the college students continue with their misguided learnings, and the proletarians can all kiss my ass, and the rejected rejects triumph once again, and above the skyscrapers the superheroes continue their homo-erotic wrestling, I shake god’s hand and give him a wink, he winks back and smiles and scratches his ass, all my love to you I say, and mine to you he says, then he cranks the electric guitar and starts playing some rock and roll, and all across the universe and beyond and through the back-alley love affairs and the switchblade mornings,
the inside of my mind screams happy thoughts -

Language: English
ASIN: B00NRZO920

BOOK DESCRIPTION:
The series is a ‘coming of age’ tale set in the year 1849. It involves the precocious young daughter of legendary reindeer, Comet and Vixen. Initially, she has no friends and spends her days alone in the stable at Santa’s Village. She argues with her parents…wanting the freedom to go outside the Village to explore. But her parents forbid her to go outside by herself.
Declaring, “I don’t care how dangerous it is…I want some fun and excitement!” Fawn starts sneaking out each day. She makes friends quite readily, but just as quickly finds herself in dangerous situations.

Book 1, ‘Til the Last Snowflake Falls, serves to introduce the cast of characters, their loyalty, and the risks they’re willing to take for one another. Her new-found friends, Bunny and Snowboy, rescue her from the clutches of a hungry arctic wolf, and a conniving sea captain capturing animals of the arctic to sell to a New York City zoo takes Fawn, Bunny and many other creatures prisoner. Snowboy tries to help them, but pays the ultimate price when he’s melted into a pile of slush. Santa and his wizard friend, Wajic, assemble a rescue team, and a battle royal….with elves armed with slingshots and snowballs takes place.

In Book 2, The Ona Pendulum, many questions regarding how Santa got started and how he manages to do what he does are answered, as Fawn and her companions set out to stop an evil former elf princess intent on destroying the Ona Pendulum, which has kept Santa and company alive for more than three hundred years. On the very first Christmas, shooting stars fell to the earth. Elves went out to collect them, and found each possessed a unique magical power. The largest of these was set into a clock-like device…The Ona Pendulum.
Fawn witnesses treachery and cold-heartedness first-hand, but also learns about strength of character and self-sacrifice. She also learns things about herself. When she and her friends are trapped in an underground tunnel without air to breathe…she must push herself to the limit to try to save them all. It’s an exciting adventure and a history lesson all rolled up into one entertaining book.

In Book 3, Far And Yet So Near, a mysterious stranger has taken control of Santa’s reindeer, who march off mindlessly toward destinations unknown. Because Santa and Wajic are inconveniently away at the time, it’s up to Fawn and her friends to trail them and try to bring them back. The stranger confronts them in an underground cavern…but Santa and Wajic arrive in the nick of time. However, the stranger has a trick or two up his sleeve, and as explosions suddenly rock the cavern, he escapes with Fawn. She’s reindeer-napped and secreted off to England. The young reindeer has no idea if her parents and Santa are even alive…and no way of ever getting back home to the North Pole. Housed in the stable of a wealthy English businessman, she befriends his ailing daughter who is dying of tuberculosis. But the young girl has her nanny write a letter…which eventually finds its way to Santa. With the help of some incredible magic, the girl’s condition is greatly improved, and she stands a fighting chance. Fawn has grown…both physically, and as an individual in her months away from home, and the precocious young reindeer of Book 1 has greatly changed.

Excerpt:

Smooth stones shifted beneath my feet as I limped toward the dragon’s cave. Anger buzzed in my head with no outlet. Two miles of walking on a sprained ankle hadn’t helped my mood, or the injury. In addition to the ankle, which continued to complain with every step, my left eye felt swollen from a recent blow. The blow itself didn’t bother me so much. Instead, I was concerned by why she hit me and how I got away.

Two miles south lay Barrington, a village sandwiched between the kingdom of Puji and the mountains of Goldoon. Almost five thousand people lived in the village, including the families who had taken me in. Every winter for the past six years one family or another had taken me in as a housekeeper or cook, and shared what little food they had with me; rarely enough to truly satisfy me, or them. Eventually they would start to resent having me there. Thus every year, around the start of spring, I would find some reason to leave.

This year, the reason had reached out and grabbed me by the throat, literally. There was no real love for me there, and hadn’t been since my nanny died almost six years ago. Why should they care about a little orphan girl?

The cave before me wasn’t the adventure others might see. I wasn’t here in a vain attempt to gain treasure or impress someone with my bravery. No one else in the village knew there was a dragon nearby. For me, this was my one escape from the cruelty of the world. The only place left where someone showed me kindness instead of hatred and violence.

The last few feet were the trickiest of all and my injured ankle gave out. I scraped my hand on the cliff in a failed attempt to stop my fall.

“Cortiban’s bones!” The curse escaped my lips. Frustration boiled over and I had to close my eyes to contain the anger. Pulling myself up by grabbing the face of the cliff before me, I put all my anger to the task of overcoming the pain. I kept my eyes shut as I limped through the protective magic hiding the mouth of the cave. If someone watched as I entered, they would see me walk through solid rock. A protective spell hid everything inside. Now the magic hid me as well.

Book Description:
The book candidates don’t want us to see.
“A must-read guide to campaign promises.” “Facts everyone should see before they vote.”
Candidates rally for our support and appeal to our anger and frustrations, often offering radical solutions, but what aren’t they telling us? Sure they pitch the good times they’ll bring. What about the side-effects and costs of their medicine.
Side-Effects: What Candidates Don’t Tell You takes you behind the scenes on issues of the day and campaign promises. It focuses on consequences, issues, and options. It also challenges myths such as who are the wealthy, and what is the history of depressed wages. The emphasis is on shedding light, exposing myths, examining consequences, and exploring options, not on personalities. Sorry, no dirt on the people, just on their promises.
Side-Effects will answer questions such as:
  •   Will raising income and estate taxes hurt the billionaires and redistribute wealth?
  •   Why healthcare is broken and what options we have.
  •   Why wages are depressed and what we can do about it.
  •   What are the implications of immigration plans?
Side-Effects cuts through the BS to look at campaign promises on wealth redistribution, taxes, Social Security, healthcare, depressed wages, and many other topics and aims to bring facts to these issues.

Author Bio:
Tomas Payne is a CPA and has an MBA in Finance, BS in Political Science and over 30 years of business experience. He is a longtime student of business, the ever-entertaining field of economics, and of the political shell game.

Book Genre: Self-Help/ Career & Business Advice

Book Description:

What is Your Life Purpose?

Are you looking to find the answer to the age-old question “What the hell should I do with my life”? Do you want to find work that simply makes you happy? Are you sick of dreading each day and only living for the weekends? If your current job situation does not bring you happiness but you do not know how to fix it, this book will help answer all of your questions. It will not, however, answer these questions in a typical fashion. It is not going to give you a personality test or an aptitude assessment. You're not going to find a list of career or business options that you could try. This book dives much deeper than other typical career or business books you will find. The theory behind this book is that one must unlearn everything he or she has been taught before being able to authentically explore the best business or career choice.

How this book is different than typical career guides or business books: Clothing Analogy

Imagine you are asked to find one outfit to wear the rest of your life. Would you rather choose from a pre-filled closet or have your apparel custom-made? With other books, you are essentially looking in a closet full of different clothes and picking out the best option; it may not be your favorite color or fit just right but it will do. In this book, you will design your perfect ensemble

The book is structured into three parts:

The first section describes and gives examples of psychological concepts to explain how you have been shaped and exactly why you are in your current situation.
The second part is all about relearning how to live and think authentically. This is where you begin to explore and research, with fresh eyes, the best business or career choice for you.
The third part is focused solely on techniques that you can apply to assist in this process. Complex theories are broken down into simple steps, with examples to help explain how to apply these concepts in your own life.
Whether you want to find the perfect job, or start your perfect business, it will guide you through each step necessary to reach a life of happiness and fulfillment.

Sneak Peek at Everything that will be Covered:

Each of the following topics will be broken down into simple, easy-to-understand explanations and steps.

  • Psychological Learning Principals
  • Societal Norms and How They Affect You
  • Understanding Your Underlying Beliefs
  • Subconscious Structuring and Restructuring
  • Psychological Theories (Cognitive Bias, Distortions, Effects of the Ego)
  • Decision-Making Theories
  • Techniques to Explore Ideal Career or Business
  • Research Techniques
  • Goal Setting and Planning Strategies
  • Journaling Techniques
  • Affirmations
  • 6 Powerful Meditation Techniques (Mindfulness, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Imprinting Beliefs)
  • Visualization and Manifesting (Law of Attraction) Techniques
  • How to Find a Support System
